A New Central Region in Baghdad
The primary objective of the ‘BAGHDAD DOWNTOWN’ is to enable development of innovative concepts for creating a suit-able environment to facilitate a multitude of technological and social functions. Hence, the scope of the project includes the design of the different programme and that of spaces supporting ancillary facilities open to public use.
The Baghdad Downtown project is con-sidered as a quest for design excellence and aims to ensure development of cul-tural, artistic, scientific, ethical and envi-ronmental values through economical, functional and innovative solutions. The design concepts to be developed are ex-pected to achieve innovation, creativity, originality and identity while optimizing functionality and connectivity to its imme-diate surroundings.
